ABOUT US
Dear guests,
We are Alexander and Jessie van Dort, a Dutch / Chinese family who love the nature, adventures and challenges and aim to offer our best quality and service to our guests.
In all the years we have been fascinated by the beautiful nature in Sweden and dreamed about the peace and quietness living in this magical Nordic country. Therefore, in 2016 we made our big step in life and emigrated from Almelo, the Netherlands to Munkfors, Sweden. We bought Storängens Camping in Ransäter in May 2016, and took over Perrongen Guesthouse in Munkfors in August 2019.
Perrongen Guesthouse is situated at the former railway station in Munkfors, directly on the side of the cycle path Klarälvsbanan. Munkfors city center and central bus station is approx. 800 meter away, easily accessible by car, by bike or just by foot. The charming ancient part of Munkfors 'Galma Bruket' is approx. 600 meter away. You can check local history, museums, and old buildings, and enjoy the nice view of the waterfall, walking trails and a cup of coffee at local café.
Perrongen Guesthouse has also a perfect central location for you to discover Värmland in general, 60 km to Karlstad, 30 km to Mårbacka, 45 km to Gettjärnsklätten, 57 km to Brattfallet and Halgaleden, etc.
We are eager to do our best and offer you a satisfying stay / holiday at Perrongen.

Breakfast / Dining
Perrongen is a self-catering guesthouse. There are well-equipped kitchens in both apartments. You can prepare your own meals as convenient as at home.
Local restaurants are accessible by foot or just a few minutes by car.
Free Wifi
Free Wifi available in all rooms. Speed: broadband 100/100 mbit/s.
Garden
A garden with flowers, fruit trees & garden furniture. BBQ set is also available upon request.
Bed linen & towels renting
Bed linen & towels are not included in the price. It is obligated to use bed linen in the apartment. You can bring your own set or rent them from us (100:- SEK per person per set)
Pool
We do not have our own pool. ForsnäsBadet is only 600 m walking distance from us along Klarälvsbanan. Fore more information please visit their website forsnasbadet.se
End cleaning
Guests need to clean the apartment before departure. We also offer end cleaning service with a fee of 500:- SEK upon request.

Klarälvsbanan is a wonderfull outdoor experience which constitutes 90 kilometers of car-free asphalt which meanders straight through the landscapes of Värmland, from south of Karlstad to north of Uddeholm. (Next to Perrongen)
Outdoor Activities & Beaver Safari
